Hopewell Distillery

Hopewell Distillery is the home of Perkins & Sons, a Barbadian spirits producer founded in 1944.

Set on the historic Hopewell Estate in Barbados, the distillery sits on land shaped by centuries of sugarcane cultivation. That connection to sugarcane isn’t symbolic. It’s the foundation of everything we make at Hopewell Distillery.

Perkins & Sons was founded in 1944, and Hopewell represents the next chapter of the brand’s story. It is a working Barbados distillery focused on small-batch production, hands-on craft, and spirits made with care rather than scale.

At Hopewell Distillery, we produce rum, gin, and vodka using a mix of traditional distilling methods and modern techniques, always with quality and balance in mind. Each spirit reflects our belief that great Barbadian liquor should feel honest, well made, and rooted in place.

Hopewell is also a space for sharing what we do, opening the doors to the distillation process, the people behind the spirits, and the history that shapes each bottle.

This is where our heritage continues, and where the future of Perkins & Sons spirits is being made in Barbados.

Hopewell Distillery
Single Batch Release No. 1

Made from blackstrap molasses, dunder and water drawn from a limestone stream beneath the distillery, this Barbados rum is distilled using a 1½ pot still method not practiced anywhere in the world for nearly 200 years. The result is a depth and complexity of flavour that no other distillation method can replicate, and a piece of living rum history. Only 400 hand-numbered bottles exist.
