Terms, Conditions & Visitor Information

Booking & Payment

All distillery tours must be booked in advance through our website.
• Full payment is required at the time of booking
• Prices are listed per person
• A minimum of four (4) guests is required for each tour
• If minimum numbers are not met, we may contact you to reschedule or issue a refund

Bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that plans can change.
• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled tour time are eligible for rescheduling or refund
• Cancellations made within 48 hours, late arrivals, or no-shows are non-refundable
• If we need to cancel a tour due to weather, operational reasons, or unforeseen circumstances, guests will be offered a reschedule or full refund

Late Arrivals

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
• Tours begin promptly
• Late arrivals may not be able to join once the tour has started
• No refunds are issued for missed tours due to late arrival

Age & Alcohol Policy

In accordance with Barbados law:
• Distillery tours are strictly 18+
• Valid photo ID may be required
• Alcohol will not be served to anyone under the legal drinking age
• Anyone who appears intoxicated may be refused service

Participation in tastings is optional. Non-drinkers are welcome.

Responsible Drinking

We are committed to responsible alcohol service.
• Tastings are served in small, guided measures
• Water is provided throughout the experience
• Guests are never required or encouraged to consume alcohol
• Staff reserve the right to limit or refuse tastings at their discretion

Please drink responsibly.

Health & Safety

Hopewell Distillery is a working production site.

By attending a tour, guests acknowledge that:
• The distillery includes uneven surfaces, stairs, warm areas, and production equipment
• Guests must follow staff instructions at all times
• Closed-toe shoes are recommended
• Children and pets are not permitted

Guests participate in the tour at their own risk. We accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage except where required by law.

Medical & Allergy Information

Our spirits are produced using a range of ingredients, including grains, botanicals, and other natural products.
• We cannot guarantee allergen-free products
• Guests with allergies or medical conditions should inform staff in advance
• If you have health concerns relating to alcohol consumption, please consult a medical professional before participating

Accessibility

Hopewell Distillery is located on historic grounds and includes:
• Uneven terrain
• Steps and standing periods

Accessibility may be limited in some areas. If you have mobility requirements or accessibility questions, please contact us before booking and we will do our best to assist.

Photography & Media

Photography and video may take place during tours for marketing and promotional purposes.
• By attending, guests consent to appearing in this content
• If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please inform a member of staff on arrival
• Personal photography is welcome unless otherwise advised

Visitor Conduct

We aim to provide a relaxed, welcoming experience for all guests.
• Respectful behaviour towards staff and fellow guests is expected
• Unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the tour
• In such cases, refunds will not be issued

Right to Refuse Entry or Service

Hopewell Distillery reserves the right to:
• Refuse entry or service
• Cancel participation
• Remove guests from the premises

where necessary for safety, legal compliance, or responsible alcohol service.
